Jack van der Laan




It was in September, 1978 when Jack van der Laan, age 25, purchased Filman's Men's Wear LTD. Since coming to Canada from the Netherlands in 1972, he had been searching for an opportunity to become an entrepreneur and businessman. Jack's family had always been involved in the retail environment while he was growing up in the Netherlands. At a young age they were seasoned for entrepreneurship and challenged to follow in the foot steps of their parents. Although entrepreneurship is often not an easy task, Jack's experience and determination has allowed him to succeed.

Jack is a friendly, outgoing individual - he is the essence of a "people person". Always approachable, Jack prides himself on his strong abilities in conflict management and resolution. Jack and his family attend Brant Bible Church.
